After our briefing in the morning, the handover of the motorcycles will take place.
On the first day of the tour you will cross the Catalan interior (Empordá) and master the Montseny mountain, Barcelona's local riding area, to warm up for your tour. After the first lunch, perfect asphalt and curves await you on the Collada de Tosas, which will bring you closer to the peaks of the Pyrenees. You spend the night in picturesque Puigcerda, which is only a stone's throw away from Andorra.

After Andorra, the route first crosses into France and then over the Port d'en Valira, the highest paved mountain pass in the entire Pyrenees. On the way down, you can visit a motorcycle museum or explore the roads of the old smuggler's route between France and Spain while enjoying the breathtaking views of this rugged mountain paradise. Back in Spain, head west to follow the Noguera Pallaresa and Bonaigua rivers on a wonderfully winding mountain road to Port de la Bonaigua, from where you'll arrive at your hotel in the Aran Valley.

On this epic day of riding, you'll conquer eight "cols", the famous mountain passes of the 'Tour de France'. The day begins with a crossing of the Col du Portillon before stopping in Bagnères de Luchon for a coffee in the village square. After crossing the Col de Peyresourde, where you might stop for a crepe or two, you continue towards the Col du Tourmalet, the most famous pass in the French Pyrenees. On breathtaking roads you continue to the Col du Soulor and Col d'Aubisque. At the end of the day, you'll pass through the charming Laruns before ending this epic day in a small French village in the canton of Montagne Basque.

The beauty of the mountain panorama that welcomes you this morning at sunrise is unbeatable! Your route today will take you on the French side of the Pyrenees, first to St. Jean de Port and then to Roncesvalles, one of the oldest starting points of the Camino de Santiago, from where thousands of pilgrims set out each year on the footpath to Santiago. From here, you return to Spain along the Pyrenees and make your way to Pamplona, the city that has become world famous for its annual running of the bulls.

This morning you head east along the Pyrenees on the Spanish side until you reach Loarre Castle, an ancient twelfth-century fortress full of history and connection to the Crusades that were waged from here against the Moors. You will continue to Alquézar, included by National Geographic in the list of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Next, you'll cross the Sierra de Guara Nature Park and watch the buzzards glide up the Vero Canyon before ending this day of touring in Ainsa.

This morning you will explore the beauty of Monte Perdido Natural Park and its spectacular roads along the Añisclo Gorge. The gorge is part of the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. Then, through spectacular roads and landscapes, you take the legendary N-260 over mountain passes and through the forests of Aragon back to Catalonia. At the end of the day, you ride on a perfect route around the Rialb reservoir before spending the night in Peramola.

Starting at the Oliana reservoir, you leave the main road over the Segre River Bridge to reach one of the most beautiful parts of your tour: The road around the south face of the Pedraforca mountain is an absolute highlight for motorcyclists. You ride through the Cadí-Moixeró National Park to the Montserrat Nature Reserve with its famous monastery, the most important pilgrimage site in Spain after Santiago de Compostela. The last winding section of this tour takes you into and over the Collserola hills to the viewpoint at Tibidabo. From here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city of Barcelona before returning to Hispania Tours.
