Travel Cancellation Insurance

At Hispania Tours, we understand that unexpected situations can arise before your trip - whether it’s illness, flight cancellations, or an unforeseen change in circumstances. To give you extra security and financial protection, we offer Trip Cancellation Insurance, ensuring a full refund of your tour fees if you need to cancel for a covered reason.

This insurance allows you to book with confidence, knowing that your investment is protected. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about how it works, what it covers, and how to add it to your booking.

How Does It Work?


Cancellation Insurance is available for Guided and Self-Guided Tours only and offers financial protection in case of unexpected cancellations.

  • The cost is 7.5% of your total booking price (excluding VIP Insurance, if applicable).
  • It must be added at the time of booking or within a 3-day grace period after your reservation is confirmed.
  • If your tour starts within 60 days, the insurance must be purchased at the time of booking - the grace period does not apply.
  • To add this protection, email us within 3 days of booking or or select the travel cancellation insurance option directly at checkout when placing your booking. You can also use the form at the bottom of this page.
  • Once added, you will receive a payment link, which must be paid in full immediately to activate coverage.
  • Cancellation Insurance is non-refundable once purchased.

What does it cover?


Our Cancellation Insurance provides a full refund of your tour fees in case you need to cancel due to a covered reason. Some of the most common covered reasons include:

  • Travel Disruptions: Airline cancellations due to strikes, severe weather, or natural disasters preventing timely arrival.
  • Legal Obligations: Jury duty, subpoenas, or a natural disaster affecting your home (official documentation required).
  • Employment-Related Reasons: Unexpected job termination (after at least 3 consecutive years with the same employer).
  • Medical Emergencies: Illness, injury, or death of the customer, a travel companion, or an immediate family member/business partner (official documentation required).
  • Military Service: Deployment orders during your travel period.

Please Note: This insurance does not cover airfare, independently booked hotels, or any expenses not paid directly to Hispania Tours.
